Our wellness-based services embrace a unique approach compared to traditional Western clinical psychological models. We understand that seeking help can be a vulnerable experience, and while we do not provide diagnoses or accept insurance, our focus is on fostering positivity and mindfulness in your journey.
We prioritize prevention and sustainability, as we believe in nurturing your well-being for the long haul. It’s important to note that we do not offer crisis response services; however, should you find yourself in a crisis, we are here to support you by connecting you with a trusted practitioner who can provide timely and appropriate care, all while we continue to champion your long-term growth.
Wellness-Based Therapy
At Intentional Simplicity, we believe in nurturing the whole person through wellness-based therapy, focusing on your overall wellbeing rather than just diagnoses, pathologies, or managing symptoms. This compassionate approach honors your unique cultural background and fosters meaningful relationships, encouraging self-trust, a sense of embodiment, and a sustainable capacity for growth rather than rushing towards performance.
Sessions are thoughtfully guided by the Eight Dimensions of Wellness a positive psychology framework that recognizes wellbeing as multidimensional and interconnected. These dimensions include emotional, physical, social, spiritual, intellectual, occupational, environmental, and financial wellness. They are intended as a flexible orientation rather than a rigid checklist, allowing us to gently shift focus across the seasons of life in response to the clientโs unique needs, capacity, and lived experience.

Wellness-based therapy encourages personal reflection, helps identify patterns, and facilitates the creation of meaning through authentic conversation, imaginative exploration, and holistic practices. Therapy and Integrative Work with Sarafina

In our sessions, we use a blend of decolonized psychology, expressive arts therapy, and African-centered psychological healing. Some days we talk through emotions , emotions, or life transitions. Other days we create art, explore family patterns, or use astrology and archetypes to uncover dreams and deeper meaning.
I work best with clients who are curious about their inner world and want therapy that reflects their culture, energy, and lived experience. I support BIPOC, neurodiverse, and LGBTQIA individuals who are navigating identity, grief, burnout, and the emotional weight of being misunderstood.

This space invites you to slow down, unmask, and reconnect with yourself and your narrative. Wellness Based therapy and coaching with me is intuitive, decolonized, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that your healing already lives within you.
All sessions are offered virtually and by appointment only. Tele-therapy provides a different experience than in-person care. To support the quality of your session, we recommend finding a secure, quiet, private space that is free of distractions. Most clients are seen on aย bi-weekly or monthlyย basis. Weekly sessions are available for time-limited support or specific needs and goals are discussed collaboratively.

Cancellation Policy
Please keep in mind that if you do not provide at least 24 hours’ notice before missing a session, you will be charged the entire session cost. To cancel your appointment, contact us by phone at 412-294-8708 or email us at wellbeingcenter@liveintentionallysimplistic.com.
This cancellation policy applies to all appointment types. Specifically, it includes individual therapy sessions, coaching sessions, couples sessions, group session, sliding scale appointments, and package offerings. As a result, we encourage you to plan ahead and reach out as early as possible.
