101: Poetry

There is something about the process of creation. It empowers your bones, fills your heart and expands your wildest thoughts beyond measures.

Neal Donald Walsh once said “the deepest secret is that life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation. You are not discovering yourself but creating yourself anew. Seek, therefore, not to find out who you are, seek to determine what you want to be.”

What do I want to be?

I want to believe in myself, I want to believe in my ability to create myself.

I am the only person that could create such things. The world is my inspiration. Seems like there is way too much of it to even begin. Where do I start?

I decided to go outside and sit with the night.

The way the air shifted and brushed across my skin and thoughts, I stared up into the space… around my body but around my soul. The world was moving but I was so still. Trying to capture every snapshot of each second that passed.

As the sun started to rise and the night slowly slip away, my fingertips eager to trace the path to infinity. Yet, the joy of the unknown triggered each new beginning.

All I can see is the pure beauty that is her simplicity…that is my wisdom.

I gain understanding from the roots that build foundations for creation.

How far… the unknown transcends the what we know.

Though how terrifying, leaving broken paths as you race through the journeys of which we come upon, not knowing the answer is no longer in the journey but in the creation of landed steps.

The worry is no longer needed, how funny – trees lose their leaves, twigs, branches and they show no ounce of worry. They exhale their own love of creation and inhale the infectious passions of the world. Their sweet love echo’s out, calling out to creation. The love lingers and withstands the curiosity, unknown and uncertainty. Their presence give presents.

What a gift to be apart. To notice. To share. To inspire. To love. To be. To be.. To be.

Stop, and stay a while.
